How does it work?

VirtualDieCasting is a web application designed for foundry technicians, designers, mold makers and in general all those people who need to produce a component through the die casting process. It is designed to be simple and cheap.

Simple because it allows you to speak your language. You are asked for data and information. Maybe there are still too many of them and that’s why we are working to make our application even smarter and reduce your effort in this regard. However, the information requested is certainly information that you know well. It is your world, it’s your job.

Where possible we have introduced algorithms that suggest recommended values for the input data. If you do not know all the data, or if you do not know exactly what value to assign to the specific parameter, using the pre-set values, in a first step, can help.

It is cheap because you don’t have to buy expensive software, hardware and maintenance. You will not have to train qualified personnel to use complex software. All you need is a 3D geometry produced by you or by your designer and you’re done.

In the preliminary phases it is good that the geometry is not too defined and lack some radius and drafts and modeled only to understand the filling behavior of the specific layout analyzed.

Our matching module is FREE. Yes, that’s right,  F R E E

You can do all the analyzes you want when you want until you reach the configuration you want. You will find the solution that will satisfy even the most demanding and meticulous foundry boss.

All your analyzes will be saved for you by us for free (after registration) and will be accessible to you whenever you want, from where you want.

Only when you have found the configuration that best suits you will you run the simulation

FILLING

What must be done to launch a cavity filling?

Well, little or almost nothing. Simply re-call up your chosen matching job, load the 3D, view it online and press the enter key. That’s enough

We will take care of the rest.

You will then be sent a confirmation of the correctness of the geometry loaded with the scheduling of your work. At this point you just have to wait for the report: done and finished

Comfortable isn’t it?

AND IF I DON’T WANT TO INSERT THE DATA AND ‘PLAY’ WITH THE MATCHING MODULE?

(it’s so nice that using it is fun, just a nice toy)

If it is the case, when you load the geometry, if you do not indicate any MATCHING job, in the notes field you can specify the BASIC ESSENTIAL information to proceed:

  • Alloy to be used
  • Expected quality or reference sector

We also suggest indicating:

  • Machine and / or usable machines, if not specified we will make our proposals
  • Range of possible plunger, if not specified we will make our proposals

SOLIDIFICATION WITHOUT CHANNELS

If you have not yet analyzed the channel but you have doubts, you are not sure of the moldability of the part or if you are like us rigorous and precise and you want to analyze in detail the topology of the part, our advice is to make a solidification without channels.

Doing this couldn’t have been simpler than this: load the 3D, define the alloy, the temperatures and press enter.
